All used up..
So I walk to and from work since I live only 4 blocks from the hospital and consider it good exercise. Sometimes I take to the low road heading down hill and sometime, depending on my mood, I take the high road by the cemetary. Yes, the hospital is next to the cemetary. We, here in Ghost Town, feel that gas is far too high for a long commute and it is quite possibly that the city officials think our dead not worthy of the $3.00 per gallon it would take to drive them across town. That is another blog entirely. Back to my point...
While enjoying my walk home from my Tuesday afternoon off, I cut across the alleyway hoping to save some precious time and beet the heat home when I inadvertantly find myself taking a larger than usual step forward. You know, the kind of step you take when avoiding a nasty pile of unexpected dog crap. As fate would have it, I look down and see it lying there bathing in a plethera of disgust. Behold, it was a used condom. Gah! You simply can't make this stuff up.
Taking a second look in disbelief, I rather quickly confirmed it was, indeed, a used condom. I have just one question, Are the homeless buying condoms with the money we give them on the side of the freeway on ramp? Stupid me, I thought they were buying food for their dog.
Officially, I am scarred for life. Don't laugh.
